Choose from An Introduction to Oils, Still-life, Landscapes, Portraits or Pet Portraits on any of my workshops. Working from specially-designed QSA Reference Cards, learn the process of building an oil painting over a weekend in a fun, relaxed and supportive studio.
Just find a date that works for you and choose which theme you’d like to follow for that workshop. Easy.
ALL MATERIALS are supplied in the Weekend Workshops, which makes them perfect for people wanting to try oil painting for the first time. Everything needed to create an oil painting is included for the weekend, just wear old clothes you don’t mind getting messy!

Starting in January 2024 you’ll have the choice of working from life at one of my specially-themed Weekend Workshops. See dates below for Clothed Life-models, Nude Life-models or themed Still-life.
All groups are kept small to allow for maximum 1-to-1 tuition and each stage of the painting process is demonstrated first and followed with tailored support to help you complete each section yourself.

I've been busy designing more QSA Reference Cards for An Introduction to Oils, Still-life, Landscapes, Portraits, or brand-spanking-new, Pet Portraits. Each card has a reference image that's scaled to your canvas panel, plus I've pulled out swatches to aid colour identification & mixing. They also have a gridded-up greyscale image on the reverse to help you navigate tonal values. Your workshop, your choice. Just get in touch if you have any questions.
