A commission from Paint & Draw magazine, the brief was to paint a scene of seasonal fruit & veg for the cover of issue 5 . I had just been to see the ‘After Caravaggio’ exhibition at the National Gallery and felt inspired to try something a little different for this one. Watch how the painting developed here.
